A visionary entrepreneur and a highly awarded technocrat, N. R. Panicker was ranked by DQ India as
one of the top 10 key influencers in the Indian IT industry. Entering the IT industry almost 40
years ago as a young electronics engineer from The Govt. College of Engineering, TVM, he started his
career in HCL, after which he founded the Accel Group of companies in 1991. On growing the venture
from start-up to an MNC with over 125 offices operating across seven countries and over 3000 IT
professionals, he guided the company through a successful IPO and later gained industry accolade
when British Telecom acquired a majority stake in his venture. Apart from organic growth, his
clarity of vision and the ability to see beyond the surface has resulted in his successful
acquisition and transformation of companies like Network Ltd., Fujitsu ICIM, Transmatic Systems,
Telesis, Network Programs etc. and enabled their seamless merger into Accel, resulting in enhanced
growth and profitability for the combined entity. He pioneered multi-vendor customer services with a
unique service delivery framework in India that has been the backbone of the company. He also led in
the creation of several IPs in the areas of CRM, e-Governance, and banking. With his passion to
create a new generation IT Services company, he continues to drive Accel ITS with the launch of an
array of services focusing on Digital Transformation Services, cloud services, enterprise security
and IT Infrastructure management.
